A Writing Coach for Autism and ADHD

I work with writers from all over the world, most of them neurodivergent. And they're brilliant. They are novelists, journalists, scholars, poets – and more. Many of them secretly struggled with their writing for years – weighed down by neuronormative expectations about the writing process. Now they’re learning to work with their unique and beautiful brains.

Why coaching for neurodivergent writers? Because I didn't understand why my writing process seemed so different until I came to understand my autism and ADHD – and even more, until I began to unlearn my internalized ableism. That journey has given me great compassion for the exceptions to the rule. Writers like you and me.

I'm here to serve the writer you are – not the one you've been told you should be.

Before I became a coach, I was a Certified Ghostwriter (a master's-level credential). That's where I learned to help authors convert that oh-so-slippery inspiration into marketable literary properties.
​
Even before that, I had years of experience as a freelancer and fiction writer, including a prestigious mentorship through AWP and a grant from the Ryan Joseph Letcher Fund at StoryStudio Chicago. My paid projects included blog posts, a superhero comic, and over 120 short stories for advanced English language learners – including one about a kid who finds an octopus at the beach and smuggles it home in a pickle jar.

But after a year as a working book ghostwriter, I discovered that my real passion is empowering other writers to create their best work. Here are some ways I can help.
